Thoughty2: How School Makes Kids Dumb

For a deeper analysis of the underlying problems of modern schooling, as well as solutions, I highly recommend the works of John Taylor Gatto (the link is to a tag on this site with many of his videos, and even a free eBook of his), a leading authority on both. John Taylor Gatto used Socratic dialogue and the Trivium method of thinking to get the highest results from the inner city classroom which he taught from. His success with underprivileged children was a thorn in the side of politicians and school boards who made a living at politicizing the problem, and keeping it a problem, and whose only solution is to just throw more money at it.

THE UNITY PROCESS: I’ve created an integrative methodology called the Unity Process, which combines the philosophy of Natural Law, the Trivium Method, Socratic Questioning, Jungian shadow work, and Meridian Tapping—into an easy to use system that allows people to process their emotional upsets, work through trauma, correct poor thinking, discover meaning, set healthy boundaries, refine their viewpoints, and to achieve a positive focus. You can give it a try by contacting me for a private session.

  1. At the moment there are more than one million cases of children’s emotional breakdown each and every year. In terms of emotional breakdown, I am talking about teenagers who are extremely overwhelmed with school assignments, academic work, and they feel like their life as well. They never stop thinking. This kind of psychological disorder is really harmful to a child if left untreated. To make it even worse, not everyone seems to understand how to deal correctly or at all with this problem. It’s been really difficult to fight against this phenomenon of school stress that we see around us even today. Most times there is confusion in terms of terms as it’s a highly controversial problem of how to handle or fight with school stress as teens. To avoid such problems, most schools create some kind of solution based on the problem. One famous school in USA is for example called Aspire Academy. Its mission of teaching is to prepare students as future leaders and to be responsible enough to give them better lives. Even though Aspire Academy does provide very useful academic training for pupils, they are unable to deal properly and effectively with all the situations on the ground since students who have just moved to school from another place have different ways when it comes to dealing with problems or conflicts etc….
